3 reviews of Blyth Station

Blyth Is a nice town close to the coast.

Excellent

The bus station has changed over the years allot since I Took this picture !

The driver and admin offices upstairs now have double glazed windows that's the only thing that has really changed apart from the once travel office is now a barber shop :)

There is colored lights that come on in the dark around the driver's canteen and admin offices basically under the whole building :) There is a shop in the bus station but it depends on what you want you will find stuff allot cheaper across the bus station in the keel row shopping center...

There's only 2 bus company's now basically everything there is ran by Arriva with the 309 to Newcastle running by Go north east. There is still the odd Nat Express coach that pulls in for London in the morning.

Blyth Bus Station

Blyth is a beautiful coastal town in the Northumbria region which can be visited on a one day trip from Newcastle. Without the use of a car, you have to use the bus, from the bus station, which for a town of this size, is surprisingly well connected to the rest of the region. Buses depart about every 20 minutes to Newcastle, but beware, there are three different companies and tickets can not be exchanged, if you go with a ticket from Company A, you have to go back with A. The coastal route which Arriva takes is much nicer but it takes longer than the journey inland that Go North East takes. There is an information office open every day from 9-5 pm, and if it is closed you can check the schedules which are outside.
