Blenheim Palace

The magnificent Blenheim Palace was the residence of the 11th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough, but is mainly famous for being the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. The palace is surrounded by spacious gardens and lawns, with an idyllic lake at their center. The interior is truly stunning, with elegant, sophisticated halls. One highlight has to be the Great Hall, with its 20m high ceiling and collection of precious works of art. And you can visit the Churchill Exhibition to learn more about the life of the famous statesman. The Long Library is also worth visiting, as it houses a vast literary collection.
