Fall is the best time to visit
The Black Hills- Mountains at the very edge of South Dakota, after a long drive of flat prairie grasses these hills are a sight for sore eyes. Explore the paths and ponds of the black hills and definitely make sure to visit the most famous of sights within the black hills- the iconic Mount Rushmore.
Fall is the best time to visit the Black Hills for numerous reasons. For one, the crowds have dispersed- the children have returned to school so most families are not able to travel and explore like they do in summer- Fall is officially the off-season. But even more than that- fall is the best time to visit because of the colors - vibrant reds, oranges and yellows light up the trees, making everything into a breathtaking sight. Just driving along the roads of the Black Hills is a treat when autumn colors are in full bloom.
