Beautiful building

It is the home of the Bishop of Limerick - or was in medieval times. It is right behind the castle of King John, in Limerick's Medieval Quarter. It was part of the Cromwellian Colony in 1649. The residence was built by the inhabitants. Earlier in this building lived the Protestant Bishop of Limerick, until 1784. The palace has a classical facade and is English Palladian style. Now the house was restored by the Civic Trust, which is how the conservation entity of historical monuments. Now it is the seat of the Civic Trust, and can be visited. When it was bought for 1500 euros 20 years ago, it was a ruin.
