Bima

La cittadina di Bima e' stata unita ad un altro paese situato nelle immediate vicinanze e questa unione ha dato vita all'agglomerato urbano dell'attuale Bima, il piu' grande dell'isola indonesiana di Sumbawa. Situata ad est dell'isola, in direzione del porto di Sape, Bima custodisce l'antica residenza del sultano di Sumbawa che oggi e' divenuta un museo visitabile. La strada per giungere qui dalla parte ovest (da Sumbawa Besar e dal porto di di Poto Tano) e' davvero panoramica e per un lungo tratto si costeggia la lunga insenatura al termine della quale e' situata la citta' stessa. Se volete fermarvi qui potete alloggiare in uno degli hotel presenti nei pressi del campo sportivo come il Vila Graha e mangiare alle bancarelle che puntualmente, ogni sera, vengono aperte nei dintorni della via centrale. Gustate le specialita' locali e preparatevi a "scalare" le colline sulla strada verso Sape.
