Bihac, a city founded in 1290, is 12 km from the Croatian border, 35 of Plitvice National Park and about 80 km from the Adriatic coast. There's a river through the middle of the city. Known for its waterfalls, trout, sailing and unforgettable nature. A religiously-mixed population with a Muslim majority, but oriented towards Europe. Best arrival by road is from Italy: Milano-Trieste-Ljubljana-Zagreb-Karlovac-Bihac. By plane, get to Zagreb (Croatia) and then travel by bus or car: Zagreb-Karlovac-Bihac. Bihac has about 120 historical monuments and museums about World War II, many regional craft shops, rafting, Ostrozac Castle, with Austro-Hungarian history, popular market every Monday, where you can buy everything.
