Bathe in the Orontes
In Syria, on the banks of the Orontes River, lies the city of Hama, famous for its giant Ferris wheels. Some exceed 20 m in height. They were built in the thirteenth century and remain up and running, or at least they were in 2010 when I saw them. The boys went up and threw themselves into the water from above. They also dived from the walls of the hammam.
