Bicentennial Park
The city of Tapachula is on the border and gets hundreds of visitors every year who want to know the area, as well as the neighbouring country. On Sundays many people in the park are of Central American descent, many of them dressed in their costumes. Anyway, back to Bicentennial Park: it was created in order to have more areas where we can appreciate cultural events, as well as enjoy family time in a quiet place and where the family can have a good time. The park has a fountain that kids enjoy and also a kiosk where you can hear the music playing Marimba, very traditional in this region. This park was completed earlier this year, so for those who know Tapachula and have not been recently, this is one of the new attractions of this beautiful city.
