The hotel is inside an old building which was constructed in the 1700s, and has been renovated and equipped with modern facilities and still it retains much of its Georgian architecture. It is set amidst four acres of land overlooking the forest and the new golf course and it is a short walk away from the town of Lyndhurst where the Forest Museum is.
