Benaoján: When the Man Dreamed to Fly

Close to Ronda, past the grain fields and limestone peaks, you will find Benaoján. The olive fields, the farms and ranches and agricultural land are striking. This place is well known for its prehistoric past - Arabic, Visigoth, bandits, guerrilla, agriculture - all of which have made their mark on the daily lives of the people here and their history. We observed fields of cereal, yellow patches of sunflower fields and the limestone horizon. Behid us were the rocks to the west, whose slopes are carpeted by green fields and thickets. The road runs parallel to the railway linking Algeciras to Bobadilla.
