Tourist Information Office in Erice
The bell tower of the Erice Cathedral is separated from the temple and just in front. It was built before the Cathedral in 1315, as an Aragon watchtower. It has a square base and is divided into three sections. The facade is decorated with narrow windows. Inside on the ground floor there is a tourist information office. This is where you can buy tickets to visit the monuments of the medieval citadel. You can also go up to the terrace of the the tower (400 steps) and get some really spectacular views.
