A night in the dessert
You wake up thinking it is around midnight. Once you wake up you will not see the sunrise over the ruins of Palmyra. It always looks the same. Whenever I slept in the desert I have the feeling that it is much later than it appeared. The sun has no respite here. Heat from the first ray of sun seemed as it wanted to open your eyes, like a cat's puppy: The sun did not want you to continue to sleep. Sleeping in a Bedouin tent is very comfortable, especially if you are tired or drank too much anise last night. I usually slept on mats and blankets lined several ways as the desert nights are always cool.
