Bears in Kuang Si

Kuang Si is a small town about an hour from Luang Prabang, Laos. You can go for the day generally because there isn't much to do. If you want to spend the night or eat, its better if you take something until you get something better from the city for lunch. The nature reserve has waterfalls, and a center of bear preservation in Laos. Admission is 15,000 Kip, 1.50 euros, and you can see the protected bears, most of them had been prisoners of people that wanted to harm. Asiatic black bears are a protected species, but are endangered and close to disappearing because their meat is very good, and a local cuisine delicacy.
