Anne-Laure Caquineau
A name with legends
La Baie des Anges, with its beautiful blue waters, is a bay on the Mediterranean from Nice to Cap d'Antibes. There are three origin stories for its name - the angel fish that abound here; that a saint's body washed up here and was taken ashore by angels; or that Adam and Eve, according to a poem by Alexis de Jussieu published in 1856, were taken here by merciful angels as it seemed like a second paradise.
