Volcan Baru National Park

Baru volcano is the highest point in Panama, at 3475 meters. You can climb it from Boquete and Volcan, and it shouldn't be too difficult. You will need a local guide, however. It is easy to follow the trails, but also easy to become disoriented in several areas of the road, that is what happened to us there, so we ended up sleeping on a hill full of boulders, about 2500 meters up until we were rescued the next day. A good adventure! The landscapes are green like the rest of the country. There are various types of vegetation, from rainforest to rocky arid areas. At the top, if the day is clear, you can see the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.
