1 review of Boats of Goa

Catholic and Indian

It is in 1510 that landed in Goa the first Portuguese who quickly extended their domination. Thirty years later arrived by sea St. Francis Xavier, sent by the king of Portugal to evangelize its colonies. Today, the Portuguese left, fishermen proudly display the Indian flag with three colors, but the boats remain, mostly devoted to the saints of the Catholic religion, the Christian cross emblazoned on their bow. Some boats are always in balance.
