Balans - Kensington

Balans is a very convivial cafe with a little light well that lets in a bit of clarity in the midst of the large room. The decor is average, with hardwood floors and leather armchairs, that make you feel at home. They serve brunch all day and in the morning there are many large groups of friends getting together to eat. The prices seemed a little high, but the food is great and made with fresh market products.

The service was slow but we were a group of 10 people and other tables made huge orders as well. And yes, they were serving everyone at the same time.

It was about 12 pounds for a brunch; I ordered a chicken sandwich and a natural smoothie.
