Playa de la Bajadilla

This beach in Marbella has been and continues being one of the busiest in the city, perhaps due to the town center and also for its width and shallow waters, making it deal for children. The beach also adjoins another very busy beach, Cable Beach, which was named for the now defunct wire carrying a pile where once the boats loaded the mineral from the mines in Marbella. The sand is rather coarse and dark, the beach is approximately 800 meters long and 50 meters wide with showers and public toilets, bins, hammocks and parasols, maritime rescue service and first aid, as well as lifeguards during the summer season.
