City pub
Newcastle is a city full of pubs, and Bacchus is located in the heart of the old city, which was recently renovated with a sailor theme, decorated with black and white photos and old photos that teach us about the industrial port of Newcastle in early part of the century. Now the port is also modern and rather full of bars. Bacchus is located just behind the Royal Theatre so it is a good option to go for a drink after leaving a show. But most pubs do not serve any food after 7, only potatoes and peanuts. Bacchus has a good reputation for having a great selection of beers and ales on offer and has a medal, an award for good beer.
The kitchen is of good quality, but not very original, light snacks that are full meals. The atmosphere is comfortable, and the people who come are about 30 years, there are not many students. I recommend going if you happen to be in the area, it is well worth it.
