Aydius (Valley of Aspe)

Away from the road along the Aspe Valley and almost as high as the lovely Lescun, Aydius gives you the feeling of being out of this world. The village, which has fewer than 100 inhabitants, is a delight. Its white houses with slate roofs look out at beautiful landscape of gentle peaks, mostly covered with lush forests. Aydius has a fourteenth century church, an old gable and a single housing. Heavenly and recondite, this corner of Valle de Aspe is to get away and forget the hustle and bustle.
