In Uyuni, the starting point for all excursions to the salt mine and the surrounding desert, I stayed at the Hotel Avenida. This is a clean hotel, well run and cheap (rooms with bathroom for 5 €, and without bathroom € 3!). In contrast, the hot water is not available after a certain time.
