Attached to the River
Auvers sur Oise is a town with about 7000 inhabitants situated on the outskirts of Paris, about 3km roughly northwards. The town lies about 6-8 miles along the Oise River, which begins in Belgium and flows into the river Seine at the height of Auvers sur Oise. Most of the people are very attached to the river, with individual houses sitting adjacent to each other in front of the river banks being the most common layout. This image of houses glued to the river is part of the most picturesque village. Auvers is primarily a dormitory town not having any industrial activity and containing only a few shops and bars in the heart of the village.
