Aurora do Lima Chapel

A small chapel in the historical district, in a street off Plaza de la République (between the House of Mercy and the old City Hall). It has a covered tiled facade, but as its nothing flashy it often goes unnoticed. The interior is nice with a single nave, rectangular deck with vaulted ceilings. The High Altar is presided over by a statue of the Virgin of Sorrows, with Christ in her lap, on both sides there are 2 other altarpieces with carvings of dos Santos.
