Augustusburg and Falkenlust Palaces

These two wonderful palaces, which are impressive both inside and out, were the beginning of our trip around this part of Germany and where we began learning that these wonders are also World Heritage sites. Inside the palace is the Augustusburg staircase which is the most impressive that we've ever seen in a palace, the other is the summer palace and is more "simple" but the walk to the crossing of the gardens and a path through a forest makes it worthwhile .
