Ateneo Sueco del Socorro

This is a beautiful and little-known modernist building, the work of Joan Guardiola, which opened in 1929. It has an imposing lamp, a large main hall where older men still gather for coffee and play "Chamelo" and interesting paintings. The well maintained Serrano Theatre, designed by the same architect, is located nearby on the same street that gives access to the town square.
