A charming village
Ashfield is the first village that you'll find on the Dunblane-Braco road, about four kilometers along the river from Dunblane. Surrounded by countryside, complete with sheep, this is a charming village where most of the noise comes from the river. There are no modern houses, just traditional stone cottages, and the streets are unpaved. There are some elements of a Victorian past in the architecture. There is no store, but there is a red telephone box for photo opportunities! There isn't even a pub, so we had to wait another 4 kilometers before we got to the next town for some refreshments. Tranquil
And charming, this is a very nice little village.
