Treat for the Senses
Climbing up to Diskit temple really is a treat for the senses. On one side we have the monastery, clinging to the mountainside and giving you the feeling that it will fall if someone is too heavy-footed. Their houses, which are typically Buddhist, seem to be watching everything that happens in the valley. On one side of the road, always right, lots of "chorten" (those little white buildings from the video) run up providing safety when you climb. If you look back you'll be amazed with the sights and, finally, we can enjoy how a vertical slit spits out water like a river. A river that flows down to people who are grateful for it and use its spring water.
All this accompanied, this time, by "Biri", a young Israelite who enjoyed and let us enjoy ourselves while we explored the place. To top off the beautiful hike we stumbled upon some children, apprentice monks, in the absence of their elders who were behaving exactly as what they were .... Children.
