Ascent to Montgrí
Our little excursion started at seven o'clock. We walked and climbed unhurried and observing the landscape of olive fields, dusty roads, plants, so yellow! Our first stop for breath was at the cross. The cross is the point from where you can see both sides of Montgrí north L'Escala, the point where the Badia de Roses, Alt Empordà and Baix Empordà meet. This view is for sunny days, some days, as a result of heat haze you can't see much. Nearby there are stone huts used by herders years ago, there were no pastors, only goats that were scared to see us. We then continued to the castle. When we arrived, a gray haze had formed that prevented us from enjoying the scenery.
