Handcrafts and more between hills and ravines
We traveled along the Rio Grande for much of its course then crossed these colorful hills to the "Town of the Virgin Land" - a name which was given by the native Aymara and their descendants who inhabit these lands. In the square we found lots of typical products, carpets, hats, rugs, ponchos and accessories made with vicuña crafted silver like the alpaca. Colorful straw hats that were finely stained, bags, carved wooden items, plates decorated with paintings, crafts, baskets, clay pots, rattles, bracelets, braids, Bahian, macramé, dreadlocks, etc. In one corner is "Flavors Jujuy" where they display all kinds of blankets, ponchos, carpets, mantles, antiques and unique pieces.
