2 reviews of Art Otel Budapest Hotel

Hotel with amazing breakfast and close to the center

My experience begins the moment I made a booking at an incredible price for this hotel, a 4 star just 10 meters from the center of Budapest. A room with a ceiling over 3 meters high, beds that were duplex for each one of the 3 boys who went to see the city. The deal was great, at all times the employees took interest. Breakfast was amazing, they always refilled everything, never lacked anything, until two minutes before closing time breakfast was always full.Because it was near the center, it had a metro central location only 150 meters away. Bars and restaurants around and just 5 minutes walk from Buda Castle.

Generally a 10, that's why I chose this hotel as a corner to consider.

A htel in Buda on the Danube

Un hôtel a Buda sul Danubio

    Excellent
Dice: "Our sincere apologies for the inconveniences caused during your stay with us ! There is indeed a unpleasant smell at times when entering the baroque part of the hotel , we are investigating the cause in co-operation with the Budapest district authorities and hope to solve this problem within the next few weeks" Bravi! Grande prova di attenzione al cliente.
It is located on the shore of Buda, almost in front of the Parliament and a few minutes from the Chain Bridge. The name art'otel is because every room has one of the paintings by the American artist Donald Sultan, 600 scattered throughout the hotel! I must say that the front dsul river you see in the picture is not that exciting but the interior is much nicer. It has a free WiFi connection in the room and PC in the lobby. I had already booked with about 60 euro per night for a double (30 per person) and I had no expectations, and instead the room was spacious, with a bathroom with two sinks (a godsend in the early morning to both of you!) , located in the old side of the hotel, which they call "baroque", but I had no view of the Danube on the roofs and it was very quiet. I'll post photos. The rooms overlooking the Danube were available for a surcharge. I have not tried the breakfast (buffet for about 15 euro extra per person, I felt a little 'too much considering the prices Hungarian), but there was a kettle in the room to make some coffee or tea and then headed out to enjoy one of the incredible pastries in Budapest ;-) The restaurant was nice, however, we thought of eating at least once but then we forgot taken from things to do outside: I put here a video that I shot while going down the elevator. I had read the reviews on the web and someone complained about the position that I found rather good. Basically you just cross the bridge and you are in Pest, you get a few minutes walk to the funicular to the Castle area and is very functional, with helpful staff and nice. If it is not a problem for you to walk, I do not think you need a subscription to public transport as they say the guides. In practice, in my 4 days in Budapest I went to walk everywhere and I used the tram only once because I was tired. Clear that if we want to reach the remote places you can buy a single ticket which by the way is on sale at recepition hotel at no extra charge. If I had to find fault, from one wing to another hotel hung a strong odor, perhaps because the level of the river, I do not know, but nothing unbearable because it was only in the connection between the wing "old" (though all restored) and the new one. UPDATE.: A few days after I wrote my comment I received an email from the hotel. He says: "Our sincere apologies for the inconveniences Caused During your stay with us! There is indeed a unpleasant smell at times When entering the baroque part of the hotel, we are investigating the causes in co-operation with the Budapest district Authorities and hope to solve this problem Within the next few weeks "Bravo! Great show of customer care.
