Art Classroom "El Torco"

Situada en uno de los enclaves naturales mas importantes de Suances , este aula se encuentra en el punto en que hace siglos se encontraban las murallas defensivas costeras del Torco , que datan del siglo XVII . Las construcciones de las antiguas defensas , hoy día remodeladas , se han convertido en sede de los Cursos de la Universidad de Verano , teniendo lugar también diversas exposiciones y actos sociales . El recinto de las antiguas defensas esta rodeado por un muro de piedra , dentro del cual aun se conservan restos del bastión de defensa .

Located in one of the most important natural sites Santander, this classroom is located at the point where that centuries ago were the Torco coastal defense walls, dating from the seventeenth century. The buildings of the old defenses, remodeled today, have become home to the University Courses Summer, taking place also various exhibitions and social events.
