Arnel Point Lighthouse
To reach the lighthouse you must not suffer from vertigo, because the slope from the road to the town of Northeast, is dizzying. We were in a small rental car, in which we managed to test the brakes on the way down and the power on the way up. Luckily the road was dry because otherwise I'm not sure we would have arrived safely, such is the slope and sinuous curves. The lighthouse is down the road, until you reach a pier, from where you can appreciate the enormous height of the cliffs that surround it. The lighthouse is the oldest on the island, facing east, and its octagonal shape make it unique in the Azores.
