The largest and most important lake
The Argentine Lake covers an area of nearly 1,500 km ² and is the largest and most important lake in Patagonia Argentina. It's in the province of Santa Cruz, near the town of El Calafate. There are parts where its depth reaches 500 metres. Supposedly Argentina's flag is based on the sunset on Lake Argentino, as the sun leaves a white reflection between the azure waters of the lake.
