Hotel Areca

We arrived at the Areca Hotel after lunch, checked-in, and then headed to the Arenal beach. We went walking there since the weather was nice.

Afterwards, we went back to the hotel and we got ready to take a dip in the hot tub and sauna they have on the ground floor. We bought a "relaxation package" that also included a relaxing massage. I then went to take a quick shower and back down again to the terrace where we had a sweet cocktail before going for dinner: a delicious sirloin in port-wine sauce that you MUST try if you visit this hotel. Some hotels end up surprising you and Hotel Areca is one of them. To start with, it has a stupendous location next to the Alicante airport only a few kilometers from Elche. It’s true that it’s not in the center of the city but if you’re flying in and out, it’s perfect.

The thing I liked best about my experience in Hotel Areca was, without a doubt, the personal treatment. They spend a lot of effort on customer service and it’s really appreciated. Also, the facilities are very modern and charming (oh, by the way, the Mediterranean-style courtyard full of palm trees is priceless). Another highlight is the free wi-fi and spa access.
