On the coast of Wester Ross
The Applecross Peninsula is on the northwest coast of the Highlands in Scotland, on the coast of Wester Ross. This bay is a unique place where you can enjoy a huge beach and a beautiful bay. With only a pub, a post office, a few scattered houses and campsites, there's little evidence of civilization. Directly opposite and across the Inner Sound, you can see the mountains of the Isle of Skye. This is an extremely isolated area suitable for motorhomes but which must be reached by a very twisty road (that has fantastic views). There's also a new road that is more accessible.
