Volunteer Firefighters
On the road between Praça Luís de Camões and the Municipal Market stands the Monument to Volunteer Firefighters. It's a granite pedestal on which is inscribed "life for life", with a bronze sculpture depicting a firefighter wearing his suit and carrying a baby. The monument was made in 2000 and pays tribute to the professional association.
