A very charming park
This is one of the prettiest parks I visited during my trip to La Palma. It’s a beautiful park located in Aridane, where you’ll be able to enjoy a somewhat peculiar environment. I felt like I was in some sort of micro-system once I entered the park.
It’s very well cared for and pampered. You can enjoy the botanical gardens, full of typical plants and flowers from the island.
As you’ll see in the pictures, it has two giant lizards that welcome you to the garden. There’s also another recreation area, with a children’s zone.
This park is fairly old, as it dates back to the July 2nd, 1958. Additionally, this park came about as a result of Antonio Gómez Felipe’s initiative. He wanted to create a 6,000 square meter tree-lined public park. The idea was so successful, that Manuel Pereyra García-Felipe, a flora and fauna lover, got involved to the point of bringing water and planting trees and flowers to make the park a reality.
