One of the world's most famous beaches

Anse Source d'Argent is located on the small island of La Digue and is among the most famous beaches in the Seychelles and even the world. I can safely say that it deserves its reputation. It's amazing...it's a huge lagoon with massive granite boulders shining in the sun...I'd never seen anything like it. Like all the beaches in the Seychelles, Source d'Argent is strongly influenced by the tides. When I went at low tide, the water was very low and you could snorkel in the surrounding reefs. By the afternoon, the water had risen considerably and the beach was practically empty. You can rent beach chairs and there are walking vendors who come by and sell fresh fruit.

There's also a (pretty expensive) restaurant on the beach that's open for lunch. Note that it costs 100 rupees (around 7 euros) to enter since it's in a protected park. The upside is that I suppose that'll help keep the beach in beautiful shape for everyone to enjoy.

Source d'Argent is on La Digue, the classic tropical destination in the Seychelles and probably the most beautiful island I've ever seen.
