The Roman Theatre of Verona

Excellent

The Roman Theatre of Verona is on a promenade that runs along the river Adige, near the Stone Bridge, the Church of Santo Stefano and San Giorgio in Braida. At the top of the enclosure in which is located you can visit the Archaeological Museum. Admission is joint for the 2 sites, and if you have the Verona Card, it's free. In the theater works and operas are held during the summer. The visit is worthwhile but if you have seen the Merida, Verona you may possibly be disappointed.

Amphitheatre Arena Di Verona

Excellent

It was my first trip outside of Spain, and I was with my boyfriend, now my husband. We rented a Smart car and we drove from Milan to Venice, passing by FLorence and Verona. IN the Ampitheater of Verona we went to an Opera called La Traviata de Verdi, where they sang a capella. We stayed in a 4 star hotel that we found with an offer with internet that was super cheap. It was a romantic trip and everything was perfect.

The Arena di Verona, Italy

Fifth row from the front, surrounded by an audience of 25,000 opera lovers. This was the most fantastic retirement present imaginable from my children. Lovely hotel, very close to the arena, fabulous restaurants, convenient for a gentle stroll to the entrance, and as our seats were in the fifth row from the stage, they were quite literally, the best seats in the house
