American Merchant Mariners' Memorial

I wanted to upload pictures of this corner of New York as it struck me for its strength and heartbreaking tragedy, as it tried to save the drowning person. The effect of water on the wretch who seems likely to perish, gives more credence to this interesting monument to the sailors. Located in Battery Park. Visit NY with my blog, NYpass.
