Amboró National Park
The Amboró National Park is one of the most beautiful in Bolivia, it is perfect for watching birds, butterflies and frogs, having rivers, waterfalls, forests of ferns and other wonders of nature. It is normally reached from the town of Samaipata. The Park is located in the "elbow of the Andes" and is formed by sandstone mountains, which have been eroded by the high level of rainfall in the region. The heat and high humidity are constant elements in the park, there are abundant butterflies with magical colors. Bromeliads are also common in the Park, and the park in general is covered with thick and varied vegetation, except in areas which have been deforested for agricultural purposes.
