The region of Alta Verapaz is three or four hours by truck to Guatemala City. As it is a little hard to getto (Coban is 200 kilometers from Guatemala but it takes four hours!). It is a destination that many tourists go to, concentrating on the triangle Antigua - Atitlán - Tikal, perhaps Rio Dulce and the Pacific coast.
