Alta Cruz

High Cross is the highest point of the Sierra de Buçaco, also known as the Sierra de Alcoba, located in central Portugal, specifically in Mealhada concelho. High Cross is located 549 meters above sea level but it seems a far higher point because from here you can see the entire landscape of the area and even, on a clear day, you get to see the Atlantic Ocean. Also, from here, we can see all of Bucao, which has wonderful and unique views of central Portugal. On the top, there is a huge cross that makes the area look even higher. The cross is built in stone, and is very simple yet very nice. There are two options for arriving.
