The Peruvian white mountain range has over 30 snow-capped peaks and many other peaks make this area an ideal place for mountain lovers. All mountains have a great beauty but the Alpamayo stands out. It's in the Andes, in the Peruvian area, and reaches an altitude of 5947 meters. It's not the tallest peak but it's considered in specalist magazines and international photography competitions as the most beautiful peak in the world. To get to this mountain you must be go through the Santa Cruz massif. The most common location where the adventure begins the ascent is Huaraz. From here you are taken to Caraz, which is the nearest town to the peak.
In Caraz the adventure begins. You first need to get to first base which is in the beautiful area of Santa Cruz and is 4,300 meters high. The trip takes two days and the main complication is the snow, you need to be experienced in mountains and ice. Also, the weather is a deciding factor, it is very common up there blizzard or fog, which makes it very difficult to reach the summit. If it's a good day you must take advantage of it and get to second base and from there you you can finally get to the summit.
