Along the Gambia River

The Gambia is one of the biggest rivers in Africa, measuring 1,130 km. Cross Niokolo Koba Park to see the crocodiles and hipos and birds. I was impressed byt the tiny boat. Any animal could have thrown us into the water with a little nudge, or swallow us up in one mouthful. You have to visit at dusk or dawn to see the animals. I did not see any tourists and the locals were quietly spread their nets. Many birds. This trip is an absolute must.
