A fascinating site
Almourol Castle is situated on an island in the middle of the Tagus river, in the town of Vila Nova da Barquinha, which is a few kilometers from the city of Tomar. This is a castle belonging to the Knights Templar, so a visit to this wonderful and historic castle is recommended on all tours whose themes are the Templars.
