Alien Rock is a climbing wall inside an Edinburgh church. A stone's throw from the sea, this temple will delight levels of climbers, whether experts or beginners. The general plan is to practice, take a break, and then do the real thing. There are various routes for different levels inside the old church and the wall almost completely respects the church's original design. It's really cool. If you have no idea how to climb, you can sign up for a trial session for about 36 pounds. You'll rent the equipment and be accompanied by a monitor as you try to climb a wall. It's a really worthwhile experience despite the price.
