Hotel Alhambra

I grew up in La Orotava, a place with many hidden surprises and this hotel is one of them. We passed the building almost without realizing it, without knowing that this eclectic style mansion, was our hotel. The staff, the owner, George, and his son welcomed us and gave us a guided tour: the patio, ceiling frescoes.. It is so special .... it only has 5 rooms and owner refers to it more as a home than a hotel, which reinforces the idea of ​​quietness and privacy. Highly recommended.

The advice and guidance of local people are essential in order to really submerge into the best places of the area. This time, we were lucky enough to begin our trip in the Alhambra Hotel, a residence of the 18th century, with only five bedrooms, that has been luxuriously restored and located in the center of La Orotava, a locality that houses the great giant, the Teide, and gives its name to one of the most beautiful valleys of the island.

One might think it’s a cliché, but it is difficult to find a place that combines the location with the respectful, exquisite and professional service.
