Madrid’s most classic hamburger
Alfredo’s Barbacoa is probably the most classic hamburger restaurant in Madrid. It opened its doors to the public in 1981, when there was no boom surrounding the hamburger like the one we have today. Because of that, it won the “best hamburger in Madrid” award for many years.
I don’t think that claim to fame is 100 percent true anymore. Although they use good quality pork, homemade barbecue sauce, and homemade coleslaw salad (which is spectacular), the hamburger itself is lacking something. The place deserves to be visited although it might only be for its Texas-style decoration (although Alfredo is from New York, himself).
