The Moros y Cristianos de Alcoy Festival is in honor of St. George and has been declared to be of International Tourist Interest since 1980. It is considered to be the best of Valencia (no offense to the others). The deployment of the extras, dressed in spectacular, colorful and original clothes, is a sight to behold. Heralds of the city on horseback and the different bands singing musical compositions take you back in time to the past and let you imagine how society was at the time.
